ISLAMABAD: Provincial Minister for Education Sardar Hussain Babak on Sunday said that provincial government is trying to provide security to the IDPs in camps.
Talking to a private news channel, he said that IDPs are coming towards settled areas and the issue of displacement is continuing for the last four years in KPK.
He said the extremism had been reduced to some extent in the area. However, it will take time to eradicate the issue completely.
He said that terrorism and militancy is a joint issue and all school of thoughts, and the political forces should come forward and stand up against it.
The Minister said terrorism was international issue and external hands were behind it.
He said that the terrorists wanted to pressurize the government through such tactics.
He clarified that the government would never bow-down before them and would fight till eradication of the last terrorist.
To a question, Babak said the government has no plan to change in Islamiat course.
He said that government just reorganised the subjects to avoid overlapping but certain people are politicising the issue.
In the past, he said that the government had to form the syllabus but under the 18th amendment it was devolved to the provinces and that was why every province had to reshape the courses in consultation with local scholars and educationists.
He said the focus was on how to promote religious tolerance and national unity to do away with the extremist trends in the society.
