TORONTO: Toronto's main stock index hit a three-week low on Thursday, tracking global markets lower after US jobs data failed to meet heightened market expectations and raised investor concern about the outlook for the world's biggest economy.

The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index extended losses, falling 127.95 points, or 1 percent, to 12,285.91, its lowest level since March 7.
