KARACHI: Two ships C.V CMA CGM Strauss and MT SC Shantou carrying Containers and palm oil were arranged berthing at Qasim International Container Terminal and Liquid Cargo Terminal respectively on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, three more ships with Containers and diesel oil also arrived at Port Qasim during lost 24 hours.
Berth occupancy remained modest at the Port on Wednesday where a total of two ships namely C.V CMA CGM Strauss and M.T SC Shantou are currently occupying berths to load/offload Containers and palm oil respectively during last 24 hours.
A cargo volume of 31,761 tonnes. comprises 21,349 tonnes imports and 10,412 tonnes exports, inclusive containerized cargo carried in 1,119 Containers (TEUs) was handled at the Port during last 24 hours.
Container vessel 'CMA CGM Strauss' sailed out to sea on Thursday morning.
While edible oil carried SC Shantou is expected to sail on same day after-noon.
Outer anchorage four ships carrying Containers. 52.476 tonnes diesel oil and 25,490 tonnes palm oil are expected to take berths at Container Terminal, FOTCO Terminal and liquid Terminal respectively on Thursday.
While three more ships C.V CMA CGM Puget, M,V Umm. AI. Daihk and M.T Harsandi with Containers, 35.500 tonnes fertilizer and 8,700 tonnes Chemicals are due to arrive at Port Qasim on same day.
Container Vessel Reunion is due to arrive on Friday, March 30 and oil tanker 'Qubaa' is due to arrive on March 31.
