Ivory Coast cocoa port arrivals seen up 9pc at 2.092mn T

This week arrivals figures have been updated with CCC official arrivals at June 30 and this is affected total arrivals numbers. About 8,000 tonnes of beans were delivered to Abidjan port and 6,000 tonnes to San Pedro between July 8 and July 14 making a total of 14,000 tonnes, down from 22,000 tonnes during the same week last season.

Ivory Coast's 2018/19 October-to-March main crop ended with 1.660 million tonnes on March 31, according to CCC official data.

Cocoa bean arrivals at the ports of Abidjan and San Pedro reached 490,000 tonnes between the start of the mid-crop on April 1 and July 14, up from 433,000 tonnes during the same period last season.

Mid-crop arrivals reached a record of 500,000 tonnes last season and are expected to be around 600,000 tonnes this season, according to pod counters and exporters.
