KARACHI: The Technical Committee of the Executive Board, National Fund of Meon-jo-Daro will visit the historical site on March 29 to inspect the site for its development as a tourists attraction and its protection and preservation from the climate, said Sindh Minister for Culture, Ms. Saussi Palijo.
The Sindh Minister was addressing a high-level meeting at her office here, said a statement issued on Wednesday.
Saussi Palijo said that the Committee will comprise the members of the Executive Board, National Fund of Meon-jo-Daro.
She said the Committee will review the effects of the climate on the Moen-jo-Daro and will submit a comprehensive reports about its findings.
She said the Committee will also present its suggestions to protect the historical site from the climate and its development as a tourists attraction.
The provincial Minister said the protection and preservation of the historical sites is basic responsibility of the Culture Department and to serve the purpose all officials and staff should work with devotion and honesty.
She directed the officials concerned to ensure provision of all facilities to the tourists and all steps in this regard on immediate basis.
