KARACHI: Chief Minister Sindh, Syed Qaim Ali Shah, after visiting Shaheed Benazirabad, directly arrived at Kingri House here from the airport and held a meeting with the spiritual leader of Hur Jamat and Chief of PML(F) Pir Sahib Pagaro, Pir Sibghatullah Shah Rashidi.
Both the leaders discussed matters of mutual interest including political situation of the country, socio-economic condition of province, problems of agriculturists, growers and other people of society.
Later, Pir Sahib Pagaro and Chief Minister Sindh had lunch which was also attended by Pir Sadruddin Shah (Younis Saeen).
Later, talking to media, Syed Qaim Ali Shah said that after death of former Pir Sahib Pagaro Shah Mardan Shah, the present Pir Sahib Pagaro arrived at Karachi few days ago and it was essential to meet and pay respect to him.
Chief Minister Sindh added that he had lunch with Pir Sahib Pagaro and talked on some issues.
He added that PML(F) is a coalition partner of present government and the elder Pir Sahib Pagaro and President Asif Ali Zardari had jointly agreed to work for peace, mutual understanding and progress and prosperity of the province under reconciliation process.
He said that efforts of mutual understanding and reconciliation is continuing for betterment of people.
He added that present Pir Sahib Pagaro is also following similar policy, and this coalition is for the unity, development and progress of country, particularly for the Sindh province.
Syed Qaim Ali Shah further said that our party under the dynamic leadership of President Asif Ali Zardari is making efforts to take all parties on board, which is in the larger interest of people.
He further said that there will be no black- mailing by any group or party and the atmosphere of mutual understanding, unity and coordination would prevail under policy of reconciliation.
Regarding law and order situation and letters of threats sent to Ministers and MPAs, Syed Qaim Ali Shah said that investigation orders have been issued and there is no need to be harassed, while high level investigation is underway to trace the persons involved.
Replying to another question about any operation in Lyari, the Chief Minister Sindh said that there is no operation in Lyari, but there are raids against criminals and extortionists there.
He added that not only in Lyari, but almost in all areas of 10 to 12 police stations, such raids are being conducted, where criminal incidents are occurring.
Syed Qaim Ali Shah further said that 15 to 20 Bhatta collectors have been arrested.
Pir Sadruddin Shah Rashidi while talking to mediamen said that "PML(F) is coalition partner of present government and we are jointly working for the betterment and will strengthen the nation and country.
