BUCHAREST: Romania sold a planned 300 million lei ($91 million) in six-month treasury bills on Monday, with the average accepted yield at 5.06 percent, from 5.22 percent at a previous Feb. 27 tender, central bank data showed.

The finance ministry has sold significantly more debt than planned so far this year as yields have been falling across maturities since late 2011, helped largely by three consecutive interest rate cuts by the central bank and expectations of further easing.

So far this year,Romaniahas sold 26.1 billion lei in bonds and bills on the domestic market.
