EU 2018/19 soybean imports rise 8pc, soymeal down 8pc

PARIS: European Union soybean imports reached 14.9 million tonnes in the 2018/19 season that ended on June 30, up 8% from 13.9 million in 2017/18, official data showed on Thursday.

EU soymeal imports fell to 17.6 million tonnes in 2018/19, down 8% from 19.1 million in 2017/18.

EU 2018/19 palm oil imports totalled 6.3 million tonnes, down 1% from 6.4 million tonnes in 2017/18.

EU weekly grain export and import data are provisional and can be adjusted in the three weeks following their initial publication.
