Govt striving hard to ensure socio-economic justice: Dr Firdous

Talking to media, she said everyone was equal in the party because PPP don't believe in 'Bradarism' adding that labourers, farmers and poor segment of the society were the strength and backbone of the party.

She said that PPP was the identity of party workers, and hence equality and provision of basic rights was top on the agenda of party.

Dr Firdous said that ultimate goal of democracy is to ensure self-respect and fundamental rights of individual besides economic and social development of the community.

"We are serving the masses without any political discrimination and political victimization and PPP won't believe in the politics of vendetta because democracy is the best payback," she said.

The downtrodden people are the stanch PPP workers and rendered great sacrifices for the glory of the party and keeping view their sincere attachment and contribution had infused a fresh blood in the party which helped to strengthen democratic culture in the country, she added.

Earlier, addressing a gathering at village Malaka Kalan, Dr Firdous said that PPP led government was making all out efforts for resolving the problems of masses across the country on priority.

She urged the people to shun petty differences and divert their energies towards strengthening the hands of PPP leadership and party inSialkot.

She said that basic facilities in politically neglected areas were being provided on priority throughout the country to remove sense of deprivation among the people, she added.
