KARACHI: An emergent meeting of Sindh Bar Council (SBC) has announced boycott of courts proceedings on March 26 (Monday) across Sindh province to protest the assassination of two lawyers here on Saturday.
The meeting chaired by vice chairman of SBC Ghulam Muhammad Abbasi here Saturday expressed deep grief and sorrow over the killing of senior lawyer and former president Malir Bar Association Salahuddin Haider and his son Ali Raza Advocate by some unknown assailants in Jafar-e-tayyar here on Saturday.
The participants including Mehmoodul Hassan, Abbas Ali, Khalid Mumtaz, Khalid Nawaz Marwat and other SBC members expressed sympathies with the bereaved family.
They also demanded of the government to arrest the culprits immediately and ensure security of the lawyers.
