Talking about the country’s loans, the premier shared that the loans increased from Rs6 trillion to Rs30 trillion in the previous government’s tenure.

He further said the country's yearly tax collection is Rs4 trillion but half of that is going to repay their loans. The premier said Pakistan cannot survive on the rest of the money. The premier continued saying that if the nation try, the country can gather Rs10,000 billion every year.

He said in order for Pakistan to progress, it is essential that the people pay taxes. The PM reminded the people that they had June 30 to declare and whiten their foreign assets, benami accounts.

The prime minister further said that their government has information about benami accounts and assets which has never been obtained before. He added that the government has signed agreements with different countries on the matter.

The premier ended his address by appealing to the people to pay their taxes for a better future of their children.

Under the amnesty scheme unveiled by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government, people can declare their undisclosed assets, expenditures and sales along with payment of taxes. This scheme can be availed by all companies, associations of persons and individuals.
