Talking to Farooq H Naek who paid farewell call on him at the Aiwan-e-Sadr, the President lauded his valuable contributions in passing of important legislation during his tenure. Zardari said his tenure as Chairman Senate will be remembered about restoring the 1973 constitution into its original form, bringing about 19th and 20th Constitutional amendments and the passage of women related and other important legislation. Farooq H Naek thanked the President, the Parliament, party and the government for reposing confidence in him by nominating him first as Chairman Senate and later by supporting him in discharging his duties.
