KARACHI: Citizens of Karachi protested against unavailability of petrol and blocked roads in various parts of the metropolis, AAJ TV reported on Monday.

According to details, petroleum dealers went on a strike against declining profits resulting Karachiites faced severe problems. Citizens staged sit-in at different roads as result massive traffic jam was witnessed.

Police and Rangers baton-charged and resorted to tear-gas and aerial firing to disperse the protesting people in different areas.

Shahrah-i-Faisal was also blocked by protestors and traffic was suspended. Gulistan-e-Johar, Shahrah-I-Faisal, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, M A Jinnah Road and others were the worst hit areas.-MONITORING DESK
