Shipping activity at Port Qasim

Meanwhile four more ships with containers, chemical and furnace oil also arrived at Port Qasim during the same period.

Berth occupancy remained at the Port at 46% on Sunday where a total of seven ships namely C.V Maersk Kentucky, M.V Seagull D, M.V Hiba Al-Nour-B, M.V Mercy Wisdom, M.V Ikon Bayan, M.T Bahrain Vision and M.T Sirocco are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, wheat, seeds, chemicals and diesel oil respectively during last 24 hours.

A cargo volume of 88,063 tonnes, comprises 59,628 tonnes imports, 28,795 tonnes exports, inclusive containerized cargo carried in 2,180 containers (TEUs] was handled at the Port during last 24 hours.

Two ships oil tanker 'Sirocco' and container ship 'Maersk Kentucky' sailed out to sea on Monday morning.

Three ships C.V Safmarine Ngami, C.V Wehr Muden and M.T New Activity carrying containers and furnace oil are expected to take berths at QICT and FOTCO respectively on Monday, 19th March.

C.V MSC Levina is due to arrive at Port Qasim on same day, while two more ships C.V Asir and C.V Maersk Kolkata are due to arrive on Tuesday, March 20.
