The upcoming edition of Asia Cup T20 will be hosted in Pakistan in 2020, after a decision was made during the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) meeting in Singapore.

The tournament is scheduled to be held in September ahead of the World T20 in Australia.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PC) Chairman Ehsan Mani and Managing Director Wasim Khan represented Pakistan in the meeting. As per reports, the decision regarding which city would host the tournament remains to be taken.

A PCB spokesman said the name of the city to host the tournament would be announced soon and preparations will begin.

Meanwhile, it was also decided in the meeting that the tournament will be shifted to another venue if diplomatic ties between neighbouring countries India and Pakistan do not improve.
