Meeting discusses security measures for Ramazan

The prevailing condition of law and order and measures of police for establishing peace in Sindh province during Ramazan were discussed.

Addressing a video conference, the IGP said before the arrival of  Ramazan, action should be beefed up against the criminals by using technical sweeping, combing and intelligence-based operations in the province.

He said that special attention should be paid to the security of mosques, imambargahs, seminaries and taraweeh prayer sites  in the holy month of Ramazan besides ensuring  a mechanism to smooth flow of traffic.

AIG operations told the meeting that the provincial police arrested 66 absconders and 293 others criminals during the last three days and recovered 38 pistols, two shot guns, two hand grenades, 26 mobile phones, three cars, 24 motorbikes, more than 51 kilograms of hashish  and a huge quantity of gutka from the criminals’ possession.
