TOKYO: The Bank of Japan said on Friday it will buy 100 billion to 250 billion yen ($895 million to $2.24 billion) of Japanese government bonds with over 10-25 years to maturity next month, compared with 150 billion-250 billion yen in the past.

The BOJ has been gradually slowing the pace of its bond buying as its holdings neared almost half the market.
