MOSCOW: Minsk estimates its loss from lower oil product exports due to contaminated Russian oil at around $100 million, Interfax news agency reported on Thursday citing Belarusian state oil company Belneftekhim.

The problem arose last week when an unknown Russian producer contaminated oil with high levels of organic chloride.

Clean Russian oil is expected to reach the border with Belarus via a pipeline on April 29, Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Kozak was quoted by Russian newswires as saying on Thursday.
