LONDON: The difference between British and German 10-year government bond yields reached its widest since November 2016 on Tuesday, reflecting how last month's extension of the Brexit deadline has pushed investors to seek riskier investments than British gilts.

The yields on 10-year gilts rose by three basis points to 1.231 percent, pushing the spread over the equivalent German bund to 118 basis points.
