Qatar Petroleum launches LNG ship construction program

DUBAI: Qatar Petroleum said on Monday it had invited bids for ship construction capacity required for its LNG carrier fleet for its North Field Expansion (NFE) Project.

The tender covers shipping requirements for the LNG volumes that will be purchased and offtaken by Ocean LNG - a joint venture between Qatar Petroleum and Exxon Mobil - from the Golden Pass LNG export project in the United States.
