Mohammad Amir voices support for Pakistan World Cup squad

Despite failing to make into the 15-men squad World Cup 2019, Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Amir said he is grateful for getting picked up in the One Day International (ODI) series against England, which is scheduled to be held prior the World Cup.

“Grateful for being picked to play against England going to give my 100 percent InshAllah and good luck to the team for World Cup 2019 may the World Cup trophy comes home InshAllah.. lets support our team...,” tweeted Amir.

The exclusion of Mohammad Amir was a major surprise for many. The fast bowler has been a victim of a prolonged dry spell, however, many pundits argue that Amir bowling could be useful for Pakistan in English conditions.

Despite not making into the 15-members squad Amir will serve as cover for the World Cup squad and, if required, can be drafted into the side until 23 May without ICC permission.
