Amla included as South Africa finalize World Cup 2019 squad

Veteran opening batsman Hashim Amla would get a chance to play at the World Cup as he has been named in South Africa’s 15-man squad for the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2019 announced on Thursday.

The Proteas would be led by experienced middle order batsman Faf du Plessis in the tournament. Alongside Amla, South Africa will enjoy other solid opening options in the form of Aiden Markram and Quinton de Kock.

Coming to the pace attack, South Africa will have a variety to choose from featuring the likes of Kagiso Rabada, Andile Phehlukwayo, Lungi Ngidi, Dale Steyn, Anrich Nortje and Dwaine Pretorius

Meanwhile, leggie Imran Tahir will head South Africa's spin attack alongside leg spinner Tabraiz Shamsi if they need a back-up or an ally to Tahir, while Duminy is an experienced part-timer with his off-spin.

Duminy, who is known for his role in the middle over, will play along with du Plessis, and David Miller providing the much needed power hitting in the later stages.
