ICC World Cup trophy is back in Pakistan once again
Just weeks before of the ICC World Cup 2019 begins, the coveted ICC World Cup Trophy is back in Pakistan on a second tour the country. As per reports, the trophy will remain in Pakistan for the next four days, and will be on public display. The trophy was brought by Pakistan cricket captain Sarfraz Ahmed from UAE on Thursday. The trophy will be available for display in Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad. Speaking to the media, skipper Sarfraz said that his side will aim to bring back the trophy to Pakistan after winning the upcoming World Cup. “The trophy will travel to all the four province of Pakistan, and on 14th April a function has been organised in Karachi,” said Sarfraz. “I would like to thanks the COAS for his efforts to bring back cricket to the country, the PCB too has played an important role in the revival of cricket as well,” he added. Cricket's ultimate tournament is scheduled to begin from May 30 to July 14 in England and Wales. Earlier, the trophy arrived in Pakistan from 3rd to 13th October, 2018 during its global tour.
