Irrfan Khan writes heartfelt note for fans after long battle with cancer

Cancer-striken Irrfan Khan has returned back to his homeland India after a prolonged illness. He wrote an emotional letter to his fans whose love according to him has soothed his pain during the difficult time.

The 52-year-old Bollywood actor had been away to London getting treatment for his neuroendocrine tumor was spotted on Mumbai airport on Tuesday, unleashing a wave of excitement amongst fans.

In an emotional note posted on his social media account on Wednesday, Irrfan shared his thoughts on the prayers, blessings and love he received while he was battling cancer.

“As I leave my footprints onto these steps of my life, I want to pause to be grateful for receiving your immense love and support, it soothed me in my process of healing. So I travel back to you, thanking you from the bottom of my heart,” Irrfan wrote.

Many Bollywood actors including Richa Chadha and Ayushmann Khurrana cheered for him after his return.

The actor will soon start shooting for his next Bollywood project ‘Hindi Medium 2’ alongside Kareena Kapoor Khan. Kareena will reportedly replace Pakistani actor Saba Qamar in an upcoming sequel of the movie.
