The International Cricket Council (ICC) has come up with some mind boggling set of new rules, which, as per the cricketing body, will make the game ‘more appealing to the younger generation’.

As per the new rules, the players will now be seen sporting their respective Instagram handles on the back of their shirts in Test cricket, the International Cricket Council (ICC) announced on Monday.

“As part of our efforts to make the game more appealing to younger generations, the ICC will be applying both numbers and Instagram handles to kits from the beginning of the World Test Championship,” announced ICC.

Another interesting change has been the replacement of the age old coin toss by a Twitter poll, allowing fans at home to decide who bats and bowls.

Furthermore, in order to bring fans even closer to the sport, broadcasters will have the option to position commentators on the field of play behind the slips cordon.
