‘Avengers: End Game’ new character posters reveal some major details

27 Mar, 2019

Just a month ahead from the release of Marvel Studios' ‘Avengers: Endgame’, makers have released the character posters on social media which include many new faces joining Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

We got 32 whopping posters to keep us occupied for a month. Featuring both the MCU members who survived the events of ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ – Captain America, Iron Man, Black Widow, War Machine, Thor, Bruce Banner, Hawkeye/Ronin, Rocket, Ant-Man, Nebula, Okoye, Wong, Valkyrie, Captain Marvel, Pepper Potts, and Happy Hogan and those who fell victim to Thanos snap – Vision, Nick Fury, Falcon, Bucky, Scarlett Witch, Black Panther, Doctor Strange, Spider-Man, Shuri, Gamora, Groot, Drax, Star-Lord, Mantis, the Wasp, and Loki.

Posters have those who survived Thanos' Snap, are in full color, while those turned to dust are black and white. All posters feature the tagline ‘Avenge the Fallen’ which both offers a new definition of the Avengers title and a callback to 2012’s first Avengers movie, wherein Tony Stark told Loki, “If we can’t protect the Earth, you can be damn sure we’ll avenge it.”

As part of this, one casualty has been confirmed for the first time: Shuri gets a black-and-white poster, meaning that, although it happened offscreen, she was killed as part of the Snap.

Everyone is dying to see how the remaining heroes will manage not only to defeat Thanos, but also to undo the snap and somehow resurrect the billions and billions of lives across the universe that were taken by the snap.

In a recent interview, the remaining Avengers talked about how they are emotionally and physically defeated by Thanos. “We lost, and we aren’t used to of losing,” Captain America a.k.a. Chris Evans was heard as saying.

The movie will open in theatres on April 26.
