Veteran pace bowler Brett Lee also came back into the side at the expense of Clint Mckay.
Sri Lanka made three changes to the team that beat Australia in Melbourne on Friday.
Angelo Mathews and Thisara Perera were both out injured, with Dhammika Prasad and Upul Tharanga coming in.
Paceman Farveez Maharoof, who missed Friday's match with a back injury, returned in place of offspinner Sachithra Senanayake.
The second final in the best of three series will be held on Tuesday in Adelaide, which will also host the third final on Thursday if it is needed.
