Quetta Gladiators leg spinner Fawad Ahmed has informed that he has undergone a successful surgery after the leggie suffered a broken gum last night in the match against Peshawar Zalmi, at Pakistan Super League (PSL) fourth edition first play-off.

“Thanks heaps for all the kind messages, wishes and prayers, Team Quetta, HBL PSL. Surgery went well and hopefully it will heal soon InshaALLAH,” tweeted Fawad Khan.

“Please remember in your prayers” he added.

The leggie was smashed in the face by a returning straight drive from Imam-ul-Haq in the qualifier match against Peshawar Zalmi. The injured Fawad was soon rushed to a hospital for treatment after losing his front tooth. The Pakistan-born Australian cricketer was implanted with a new tooth.
