HYDERABAD: Sindh Minister for Fisheries Zahid Ali Bhurgari has asked the officers concerned to expedite the pace of development work of the construction of roads and laying of water supply and drainage schemes, which started under Qasimabad Development Project in Taluka Qasimabad of Hyderabad district.

The minister issued such directives while reviewing the pace of development work under Qasimabad Development Package here Circuit House on Saturday.

The minister asked the officers concerned to complete the development works in thickly populated areas of Taluka Qasimabad on priority basis and properly utilized the granted funds with completion of these scheme quality of work so that the residents of the areas could get basic needs for long time.

The minister was informed that under the project, laying of two drainage pipelines has been completed while the work for construction of road from Alamdar Chowk to Bhitai Town will be started within one week time. Besides, it was informed that the construction of road from Nasim Nagar to Alamdar Chowk and Sehrish Nagar to Alamdar Chowk will also be started soon.

About the complaint of Taluka Municipal Officer Qasimabad regarding non release of outstanding dues from District Government, the minister assured that the matter would be resolved after discussion with the officers of the District Government while Sindh Government would also be requested to release the outstanding funds so that the development work in the area could be completed at the earliest.

Besides Taluka Municipal Officer Qasimabad and other concerned officers, the PPP leaders Roshan Solangi and Iqbal Soomro also attending the meeting.
