The AFIP tax agency said last month's revenue total 47.28 billion pesos ($10.88 billion), a shade under the 47.57 billion median fore-cast of analysts in a Reuters poll. Slower activity is starting to cool tax revenue growth in Latin America's No. 3 economy. It is the fourth consecutive month that the revenue growth rate was less than 30 percent. The tax take rose 34.2 percent year-on-year in February 2011. Double-digit inflation, estimated privately at more than 20 percent, is helping swell state coffers through increased tax income, especially of value-added tax (VAT). February's VAT revenue jumped 37.5 percent to 10 billion pesos. Revenue from employers' social security contributions surged 32.5 percent to 7.2 billion pesos.
