Spokesperson to the President Farhatullah Babar said that the Constitution provides that the Senate shall meet for not less than one hundred and ten (110) working days in each Parliamentary Year. The Tenth Parliamentary Year of the Senate would start on March 12, 2012 and will end on March 11, 2013. He said that the President, on the advice of the Prime Minister, also approved the nomination of Senator Afrasiab Khattak to preside over the first meeting of the Senate during Tenth Parliamentary Year. The Session would be prorogued on the conclusion of its business, he said.
