The world’s first robotic museum is expected to open in coming years and what’s more interesting is that it will be built by robots themselves.

Turkish firm Melike Altinisik Architects (MAA) recently announced about designing the Robot Science Museum (RSM), which is expected to officially open in Seoul, South Korea in 2022. However, the museum’s first exhibit will launch two year early when a team of robots will begin constructing it.

Along with robotics, the museum will also include exhibits with Artificial Intelligence, Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality systems, holographic tech, and training courses. The building will be part-constructed using 3D-printing machines, drones and other robots, reported New Atlas.

According to the company, robots will be in charge of designing, manufacturing and constructing the facility. Various systems of robots will mold, weld and assemble the building’s metal plates and also 3D-print its concrete landscape. Drones will be used for building inspections, mapping data, security surveillance, and controlling robotic construction vehicles.

According to Futurism, having robots to construct the robotics museum is not only amusing, but is also expected to save time and money.

“The new Robot Science Museum which plays a catalytic role in advancing and promoting science, technology, and innovation throughout society is not only going to exhibit robots but actually from design, manufacturing to construction and services robots will be in charge,” said MAA principal Melike Alt?n???k. “In other words, RSM will start its ‘first exhibition’ with ‘its own construction’ by robots on site.”
