An official of the bank told APP here on Monday that the ZTBL under the scheme has allocated Rs6.9 billion for tractor financing during the year 2012.

He informed that the loan facility will be provided under one window operation only against the Zari Pass Book and no other cash security will be demanded by the bank on the loans.

To enhance and improve the agri-output in the country particularly in the small holdings, the bank has decided focus on the small land holders and provide them modern tools of cultivation to enhance per acre out-put for alleviating the poverty from the country, he added.

Growers having upto five acre land will also be eligible for benefitting the scheme and will be provided Rs. 1 million loan facility for the purchase of tractor, he added.

The official said that the growers could obtain the application form, from all the field branches of the ZTBL and respective zonal offices for applying for the facility.

The farmers with default track record with any financial institution of the country will not be eligible to take benefit from the scheme, he added.
