AB de Villiers, arguably the biggest star attraction of this season’s Pakistan Super League (PSL), has applauded the Pakistani league for boosting high quality cricket.

"I have seen some of the games and I have also heard from other players who have played for the PSL before, and it’s all good things. The standard and quality of cricket has been fantastic; I have heard a lot about the bowling attacks that are really good," said the Proteas superstar, quoted local media.

Speaking about him representing franchise Lahore Qalandars, the former South African captain said that he is excited to be part of the franchise and play under Mohammad Hafeez and was optimistic that the side will perform well in the tournament.

"Hopefully we will play as well as how its gone so far in the nets, we had a good nets session today and tomorrow we are starting with the campaign and hopefully we will start with a good win," he said.

Talking about the emerging lot, Villiers said that the youngsters are talented and was hopeful that they will perform well for the side. "I think there's a lot of talent in the team; I have not seen some of the youngsters play but they look decent in the nets. With a little bit of help from the seniors, I think they [younger players] will be great in the games," he said.
