RECORDER REPORT: KSE close of day
The market opened on strong positive note and the index hit 12.719.96 points intra-day high level. The index remained in positive zone throughout the session. Trading activities also improved as the volumes at ready counter increased to 192.346 million shares as compared to 178.045 million shares traded on Thursday. Total market capitalization increased by Rs 47 billion to Rs 3.310 trillion. Of the total 350 active scrips, 166 closed in positive and 88 in negative while the value of 96 scrips remained unchanged. Jahangir Siddiqui Co was the volume leader with 24.801 million shares and gained Re 0.13 to close at Rs 10.50. DG Khan Cement increased by Rs 1.23 to close at Rs 27.16 with 18.431 million shares. Azgard Nine lost Re 0.24 to close at Rs 7.21 with 13.951 million shares. In the banking sector, BoP and Bank Al Falah inched up by Re 0.50 and Re 0.43 to close at Rs 8.78 and Rs 14.27 with 11.191 million shares and 7.947 million shares respectively. Fatima Fertilizer Co lost Re 0.10 to close at Rs 23.74 with 7.295 million shares. Arif Habib Corp gained Re 0.57 to close at Rs 30.57 with 6.896 million shares. TRG Pakistan inched up by Re 0.25 to close at Rs 2.71 with 6.208 million shares. Nishat Mills surged by Rs 1.69 to close at Rs 51.40 with 6.175 million shares. Engro Polymer increased by Re 0.65 to close at Rs 10.90 with 5.971 million shares. Unilever Pak and Nestle Pakistan were the highest gainers increasing by Rs 92.44 and Rs 44.39 to close at Rs 5647.44 and Rs 3359.39 respectively while Dadex Eternit and Habib Bank Limited were the worst losers declining by Rs 2.97 and Rs 2.61 to close at Rs 56.50 and Rs 122.56 respectively.
