Pak vs SA: Raja wants Sarfraz to aim for wickets in second ODI

Pakistan's former captain turned cricket commentator Ramiz Raja has advised Sarfraz Ahmed’s men to take wickets in second One Day International (ODI) at Durban as South Africa will return stronger.

“Pakistan needs to learn from their victory and try to take 10 wickets, as our bowling line is capable of taking 10 wickets. Sarfraz needs to use Hasan Ali and Shadab Khan aggressively against South Africa, as they caused a lot of trouble in the first ODI,” said Raja, at 'Ramiz Speaks'.

Raja opined that Usman Shinwari didn’t bowl from a proper bowling end in the first ODI, which is why he leaked a lot of runs in his bowling spell. Whereas, spinner Imad Wasim should also need to improve his bowling, he said.

“Pakistan needs to think that only wickets will lower down the strike rate, and Sarfraz should be aggressive and think about taking wickets,” he said. The former captain added that Pakistan should improve their fielding standards and carry on with their momentum.

With the series 1-0, Pakistan will now face off against South Africa in the second ODI of the series in Durban on Tuesday, January 22.
