Afghan envoy meets JI chief Sirajul Haq

ISLAMABAD: Afghan presidential envoy Umer Daudzai Friday held a meeting with Jamaat Islami chief Sirajul Haq  to discuss the peace process in Afghanistan.

Jamaat Islami chief Sirajul Haq said " a peaceful Afghanistan is essential for the neighboring Pakistan and the regional peace.”

Sirajul said the key to peace in Afghanistan is lies in the hands of Afghan people and added Afghan government should take the opposition parties in confidence over the peace process in the country, a private news channel reported.

The envoy reached Islamabad, earlier on Tuesday for an important visit.
