Pakistan cricket captain Sarfraz Ahmed has been out of form for quite a prolonged period and this needs to end as time is running out for him, said former captain Ramiz Raja.

“Test cricket is pretty demanding for a captain, as one has to prepare for every session. He will become more proficient with every passing experience, however, time is running out for him as fans want results and they are not getting any,” said Raja, who was speaking at Ramiz Talks.

He also added that Sarfraz is a good limited-overs captain as he knows how to utilize the resources. “It is difficult for Sarfraz to change his batting technique, which doesn’t sit well in overseas conditions,” said Raja, who was of the view that Sarfraz needs to make some adjustments with his technique and most importantly be mentally strong.

At the moment the skipper is leading his side against the Proteas, with the series 1-0 in favor of the hosts. Pakistan has the final chance to survive in the series in the ongoing second Test.
