Malaysian special envoy to South Asia arrives

According to Embassy of Malaysia, during his stay in the Federal Capital, the Special Envoy of the Prime Minister of Malaysia heading a five-member delegation will explore business and investment opportunities in Pakistan.

The delegation will hold meetings with federal ministers for communications, water and power, petroleum and natural resources, railways and ports and shipping.

The delegation will also hold meeting with the Chairman Board of Investment (BoI).

During meetings, the Malaysian delegation will get a first-hand update on various infrastructure projects and initiatives currently underway in Pakistan and explore the possibility of forging joint ventures with Pakistani companies.

It may be mentioned here that Mr. Vellu is a Chartered Architect and a member of the Royal Institute of British Architects and of the Malaysian Institute of Architect.

He also remained President of Malaysian Indian Congress from 1979-2010 and also served as Deputy Minister Local Government and Housing Minister.
