Pakistan’s Mohammad Asif injures in car accident
Pakistan fast bowler, Mohammad Asif got himself injured in a traffic accident in the early morning hours on Monday. The fast bowler sustained head injuries alongside his wife and two daughters as their car bumped into a footpath in Defence Phase 1 at Lahore. As per local media reports, the incident occurred due to over speeding. The injured were quickly rushed to a local hospital, the fast bowler and his family is fortunately out of danger. Asif, alongside former Pakistan captain Salman Butt and fast bowler Mohammad Amir, was part of the infamous 2010 spot-fixing scandal. The International Cricket Council (ICC) banned three players—Salman Butt, Mohammad Asif and Mohammad Amir—for terms of between 5 and 10 years from playing international cricket.
