1 killed, 5 injured in Bakhtiarabad firing

Police sources told APP that a number of local people blocked Sibi-Jacobabad national highway and staged demonstration on the road to protest killing of wife, daughter and driver of MPA Mir Bakhtiar Domki.

During the demonstration, aerial firing was opened which killed one person and injured five others including cameraman of a private TV channel.

The dead and wounded were shifted to Sibi Hospital. The dead was identified as Nando Khan Domki and the injured include Afzal, the TV cameraman. Law enforcement personnel rushed to the site and dispersed the protestors. Commercial markets and shops remained closed and vehicular traffic was suspend in Sibi, Jaffarabad, Nasirabad, Kachhi Bolan and others areas on third consecutive day on Saturday after the nationalist Baloch Republican Party gave strike call against killing of family of Mir Domki.
