The celebrations of Eid Milad will begin with special prayers after Fajr at all city mosques. Various religious seminaries and other mehfil would also be held to celebrate the day with religious enthusiasm.
It will be a public holiday and all offices and business centres will close to celebrate the day in a befitting manner.
The electronic and print media will highlight the significance of the day by airing special programs and bringing out special supplements.
Conferences and meetings on Seerat-un-Nabi will be held in different parts of the city where speakers will highlight various aspects of ‘Uswa-e-Hasna’, the sacred and exemplary life of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) as a constant source of guidance for the mankind.
The main procession of Milad will be taken out from Lahore Railway Station, under the aegis of Central Committee for Jashn-e-Eid Milad-un-Nabi, at 9:00 morning. It will be participated by a large number of faithful who will recite Darood, Naat and Hamd-o-Sana.
Prior to the procession, a Seerat Conference will be also held which will be attended by prominent guests on this occasion.
Scouts from various schools and colleges, national volunteers, Civil Defence, Labour Force, Janbaz Force, Police and Rangers will present salute on this auspicious occasion.
Rose petals will be showered over the participants of the procession and the conference through an aircraft.
The route of the procession has been profusely decorated with buntings and banners and welcome-stages have also been set up at 120 different points along the route. Public and private buildings, markets, houses, roads and streets have also been decorated in the city.
Various other Milad processions will also join the main procession at different places of the route.
The procession, after passing through its traditional route Australia Chowk, Brandreth Road, Gawal Mandi, Mayo Hospital, Abbott Road, Anarkali, Mori Darwaze and Bhaati, will culminate at Data Darbar where Dastar Bandi of the leaders of the procession will be performed.
The City District Government Lahore has also made elaborate arrangements to facilitate the participants of processions.
Medical camps will also be set up to facilitate the participants of the procession, while Rescue 1122 Emergency Service, Bomb Disposal Squad, Fire Brigade, Civil Defence and Police personnel will remain alert to deal with any untoward incident.
Mosques, religious seminaries, shrines, government buildings, houses, streets, bazaars, markets, and other public place have been decorated tastefully while mahafil naat and hamd-o-sana will be held at different places in the provincial capital.
Punjab government has also made foolproof security arrangements for the Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) to ensure peace and tranquillity throughout the province. All Capital City Police Officers, Range DIGs and DPOs will remain on duty to ensure security arrangements on this occasion.
