Rangers complete security arrangements

A Rangers statement here on Thursday said that a high level meeting was held here on Thursday. It was attended by officials of the Pakistan Rangers, Sindh, and the police as well as those of the civil administration.

The Rangers and the police collectively finalized the security measures for the province especially the cities of Karachi, Hyderabad and Mirpurkhas.

The statement said that the Rangers and the police have been put on high alert.

In the sensitive areas, the temporary pickets of Rangers and police have been set up.

On the high rise buildings along the route of the processions, snipers of rangers and police would be deployed and they would keep an eye of the miscreants.

There would be snap checking at various places besides the aerial surveillance of the procession.

Carrying of weapons has been banned besides the aerial firing and the violators would be dealt with sternly.

Parking of vehicles and motorcycles will ban at mosques, places of Mehfil-e-Milad and hospitals.

The meeting appealed to the ulema of various schools of thought as well as the people to extend cooperation towards the maintenance of the spirit of brotherhood and sectarian harmony and cooperate with the law enforcement agencies.
