Turkish international striker Burak Yilmaz scored on his debut as Beijing Guoan beat Hangzhou Greentown 3-0 away to ease the pressure on coach Alberto Zaccheroni. The eight million euro ($9.1 million) signing from Galatasaray scored Guoan's first goal of the season with a placed shot in the 63rd minute after coming on at half-time. Just one minute later, the 30-year-old Turk was instrumental again when his rebound fell to midfielder Zhang Xizhe, who scored Beijing's second. Brazilian playmaker Renato Augusto, formerly of Bayer Leverkusen, completed the scoring with a 78th-minute penalty.
The convincing weekend victory was a timely tonic for ex-Juventus and Japan coach Zaccheroni, who came under fire after Beijing failed to score in their first three games when Yilmaz was also out injured.
