Police said he had killed the minister at Muslim League House in Gujranwala on February 20, 2007, and was arrested and sentenced to death after trial.
The accused was under treatment at jail hospital for TB. His body was shifted to morgue of Jinnah Hospital.
He was waiting for a decision on his appeal in the Supreme Court.
