Youtube removes terrifying ad of ‘The Nun’ played during videos

Youtube has always taken action against inappropriate and annoying promotional advertisements. The site has recently removed a marketing campaign of Hollywood’s upcoming film ‘The Nun’ as it seems disturbing and scary to the viewers.

The six seconds ad, which comes in between Youtube videos, shows the volume increasing, decreasing and eventually it reaches mute when the frightening character of Nun appears with a screaming voice in the background. The ad is said to be upsetting many viewers.

As the ad has violated the site’s policies, Youtube team has acknowledged viewers concerns. “Appreciate you bringing this to our attention! This ad violates our shocking content policy and it's no longer running as an ad,” they said in a statement.

‘Nun’ is an American gothic thriller film from Warner Bros pictures, which is a franchise of ‘The Conjuring’ and ‘Annabelle’. Actress and Writer Bonnie Aarons will be playing the character of the demonic nun also Demian Bichir, Taissa Farmiga and Jonas Bloquet will be seen in the film. The film is set to release on September 7, 2018.
