The delegation will comprise officials of Indian Customs; Bureau of Indian Standards; Food Safety and Standards Authority of India and Export Inspection Council, a statement of Trade Development Authority (TDAP) said on Tuesday. This visit, the statement said is part of the process of normalization of trade between Pakistan and India. The Ministry of Commerce and Trade Development Authority of Pakistan had conducted extensive interactive sessions with all stakeholders for identification of non-tariff barriers in the Indian import regime. These officials will have interactive sessions in Lahore (Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry) and in Karachi (Trade Development Authority of Pakistan) on January 26-27, 2012, respectively. During these sessions the Indian Regulators will enlighten the Pakistani exporters on the regulatory framework of the Indian import regime and will also respond to the queries of Pakistani businesspersons on the non-tariff barriers in the Indian import regime.
