DTRE scheme: Quota for ghee, vegetable oil enhanced

The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has considerably enhanced the quota for ghee and vegetable oil under Duty and Tax Remission for Export (DTRE) scheme for export to Afghanistan and Central Asia from 1000 tons per 90 days to 1000 tons per month. In this regard, the FBR has issued an SRO.(I)/2015 here on Wednesday.
According to the notification, quota for ghee and vegetable oil under DTRE for export to Afghanistan and Central Asia has been enhanced three times from 1000 Metric Ton per 90 days to 1000 Metric Ton per month. Following is the text of the notification issued here on Wednesday: In exercise of the powers conferred by section 219 of the Customs Act, 1969 (IV of 1969), the Federal Board of Revenue is pleased to direct that the following further amendment shall be made in the Customs Rules, 2001, namely: In the aforesaid Rules, in rule 297, in sub-rule (2), in clause (a), in sub-clause (ii) after the word "Tons" the words "per month" shall be inserted.
