It may be mentioned that Pir Sibghatullah Shah Rashidi a.k.a Raja Sain, was appointed eighth Pir of Pagara after his father the late seventh Pir of Pagara Shah Mardan Shah II passed away earlier this month. He is the eldest son of the late Pir Pagara from his first marriage. Sibhgatullah Shah Rashidi began his political career during General Ziaul Haq’s tenure. He was elected MPA in the non-party elections in 1985. He was elected to the Sindh Assembly twice. He was also minister for irrigation, works and services in the Sindh government.
