LONDON: European stock markets advanced in opening trade on Monday in a buoyant start to the week.

London's benchmark FTSE 100 index gained 0.4 percent to 7,645.57 points compared with Friday's closing.
In the eurozone, Frankfurt's DAX 30 also won 0.4 percent to 12,541.74 points and the Paris CAC 40 added 0.5 percent to 5,403.04.
